Carlos Hyde is still second in missed/broken tackles created

The San Francisco 49ers have deactivated Carlos Hyde the last two weeks, and his status moving forward remains up in question. He suffered a stress fracture against the New York Giants, and rest or surgery are really the only two options to get back to 100 percent. The 49ers head into their bye week with Hyde still listed as day-to-day, but getting much needed rest.

Hyde got his season off to a huge start with a 168-yard performance against the Minnesota Vikings. His numbers took a significant hit after that, thanks in part to a fairly crummy offensive line. The left side of the line is solid, but you can't just run left every single down.

On Tuesday, Gil Brandt posted this stat. Hyde is tied for second in the NFL in missed/broken tackles created. Given that Hyde has played seven of the 49ers nine games, that is kind of crazy. But, with a bad offensive line and that huge Week 1 performance, it is not a surprising stat. Moving forward though, will we see him get many opportunities to add to his total? Will he play against the Seahawks, will he be activated sometime after that, or will he be placed on season-ending injured reserve in the near future?
