It's kind of crazy how fast things can change in the NFL. Sometimes the changes are drastic, like what has happened to the San Francisco 49ers over the past several months and other times it's a bit more subtle. Teams like the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills were absolutely laughable not that long ago, but both are very promising at this point.
Both have strong defenses and a few question marks, but the envy I, a 49ers fan, have for some of the players on both teams felt strange and alien to me when watching the Thursday Night Football game last night. But I mean, hey ... somehow they still find a way to make me laugh: those uniforms. Man they were bad, and also a huge stumbling point for the NFL given how red/green colorblind folks had a helluva time trying to watch the game on Thursday.
Football on Thursday continues to be both incredible and awful in so many ways. It's a happy reprieve given the way this season has gone. Ah, well, I suppose I better get to your 49ers links for the day.
