The San Francisco 49ers begin the second half of their NFC West schedule this as they come out of their bye. The 49ers will travel north to face the Seattle Seahawks, followed by a Week 12 home game against the Arizona Cardinals. The 49ers beat the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9, and have had a chance to enjoy the bye week. The Seahawks lost 39-32 at home to the Cardinals in Week 10.
The 49ers are currently a 12-point underdog at the Westgate in Las Vegas, and a 10.5-point underdog at BetOnline.com and SportsBetting.ag. We have been tracking the line on 49ers-Seahawks for a while now. A month ago, the 49ers were listed as a 13-point underdog on a look-ahead line with CG Technology. Last week, the look-ahead line was updated to 11.5 points at Bovada, and 11 points at the Westgate.
The 49ers-Seahawks line is an interesting one to consider. It turns out, road underdogs of six points or more this season are 22-14-1 against the spread. This certainly does not mean the 49ers will cover, but given how the Seahawks are playing, would a 10-6 loss, or some ridiculous score like that really surprise anybody? Of course, if Blaine Gabbert stumbles in the face of the Seahawks pass rush, the Seahawks defense could put the Seahawks in a position to surpass this with relative ease.
