The San Francisco 49ers filled out their 10-man practice squad on Monday, but they once again have an opening. The Tennessee Titans have signed wide receiver Andrew Turzilli to their 53-man roster. The Titans needed a wide receiver after deciding to place Justin Hunter on injured reserve. Additionally, Kendall Wright is dealing with an injury, and they are playing on a short week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Turzilli was originally signed by the Titans as a UDFA, so he has some knowledge of their playbook.
The 49ers still have wide receiver DiAndre Campbell on their practice squad. They could add a second to fill the open spot, but they have some flexibility right now. Anquan Boldin is injured, but the rest of the wide receivers are available for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks. The 49ers promoted two cornerbacks to the 53-man roster two weeks ago due to Tramaine Brock, Kenneth Acker and Keith Reaser all dealing with injuries. Acker and Reaser are expected back this week, while Brock remains day-to-day. Marcus Cromartie and Chris Davis could both stick around, although it would not surprise me if the team waives Davis and sends him back to the practice squad.
The 49ers practice squad currently includes:
WR DiAndre Campbell
C Brian Folkerts
OT Donald Hawkins
RB Jarryd Hayne
TE Brian Leonhardt
OLB Marcus Rush
NT Garrison Smith
QB Dylan Thompson
S Jermaine Whitehead
