49ers-Seahawks injury report: Carlos Hyde sits out another practice session

The 49ers will likely be without Carlos Hyde for another week. We break down the latest injury report following Wednesday's practice session.

The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks submitted their Wednesday practice participation reports, and Carlos Hyde sat out practice. Jim Tomsula had said he would be on the practice field and they would see where he's at. Clearly they figured out quickly they want to wait a little bit longer. He did not practice the two weeks leading up to the bye, so if he sits out this week, that will give him a minimum of five weeks before he is back on the field. And that is assuming he returns to action next week against the Arizona Cardinals.

Anquan Boldin and Kenneth Acker both returned to practice, and were listed as limited participants. If they are limited all week, it would bode well for the chances of playing this weekend. The good news for the secondary is that Tramaine Brock and Keith Reaser were both full participants. If they can both go, my guess is we see Brock and Johnson starting, with Ward in the slot, and Reaser filling in here and there.

The Seahawks injury report does not include any shocking news. We knew Bruce Irvin might not play, so him being formally ruled out just makes that official. Marshawn Lynch and Cliff Avril both sat out Wednesday practice, but I imagine they both get in work later this week and play on Sunday. I'm not entirely sure what the deal is with Doug Baldwin, but early reports suggest he will play on Sunday.
