Welcome back for another round of picks! Week 11 of Thursday Night Football kicks off later tonight, with the Jacksonville Jaguars hosting the Tennessee Titans. This is one of the uglier TNF matchups of the season, but amazingly both teams are not remotely out of the AFC South race. The Jaguars are 3-6 and the Titans are 2-7, with the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans leading the division at 4-5. Andrew Luck and Brian Hoyer are both hurt, so neither team is guaranteed to win this weekend. This race is going to get interesting.
I'll be posting my full picks against the spread on Saturday, but for today, I have posted my straight up picks down below, as well as my ATS pick for TNF. You can view the NN pick 'em contest results over here. I put together a pretty hideous 2-12 Week 10, which brings me to 86-60 for the season.
The San Francisco 49ers are back in action this weekend facing the Seattle Seahawks. The 49ers are a 12.5-point underdog, which is the biggest spread since the Seahawks were a 10-point home favorite in 2007. The 49ers have lost nine straight games against the spread against Seattle, and seven straight up in Seattle. This is not an ideal history. The Seahawks are struggling this season, but they did beat the 49ers 20-3. I suppose the 49ers could surprise the Seahawks, but that will require moderately decent things from Blaine Gabbert.
On Thursday, the Jaguars host the Titans as a field goal favorite. The Jaguars are 3-6 SU and 5-4 ATS, while the Titans are 2-7 SU and 4-5 ATS. The Jaguars are 7-1-1 ATS in this series, and are coming off a 22-20 outright win as 5-point underdogs to the Baltimore Ravens. The Titans are coming off a 27-10 loss to the Carolina Panthers, in which they failed to cover a 3.5-point spread. The Titans will be without wide receivers Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter, as well as cornerback Jason McCourty.
