This defensive play summed up the San Francisco 49ers season in a nutshell. The Arizona Cardinals faced a 3rd and 17, and Carson Palmer chucked it up for his receiver. It appears in the video below there was some kind of miscommunication between Palmer and his receiver. Whatever the reason, Palmer's pass was thrown into the end zone, where Tramaine Brock stood waiting for it. And then he dropped it.
I don't think it is possible to have an easier interception. I suppose it could be blamed on the sun, or starting to think about running it, but either way, Brock dropped it. I suppose that might be why they say defensive backs are wide receivers who cannot catch the ball. Maybe Brock should spend a little time on the Jugz machine.
Somehow, the easiest interception in the world turned into... "Oh, how did he drop that?" #AZvsSF https://t.co/u0vRHceUov
