Fooch's update: Gabbert joining in the press conference fun
The San Francisco 49ers are beginning their preparations for Week 9 vs. the Atlanta Falcons, and that means we are back for more press conferences. Head coach Jim Tomsula will meet with the media at 10:30 a.m. PT, and it is safe to say he might have a thing or two to talk about. He'll have an injury report, but I would think that will be quickly followed by the official announcement that Blaine Gabbert will be the 49ers starting quarterback on Sunday.
Tomsula's press conference will be followed at 11:45 a.m. by special teams coach Thomas McGaughey. I'd imagine he will get questions about Jarryd Hayne's move to the practice squad, and what is next with Reggie Bush out for the rest of the season.
Both press conferences should be streamed live by CSN Bay Area, and you can watch it above. You can also check it on 49ers.com/live. We'll have transcripts later today. As always, we have the 49ers media Twitter list below if you can't watch the press conference.
