Happy belated birthday to Eddie DeBartolo

I missed a birthday yesterday! Former San Francisco 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo turned 69 on Friday. Thanks to Jerry Rice for pointing it out.

It could prove to be a great year for DeBartolo. He was named a finalist as contributor for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He automatically moves to the Super Bowl weekend vote, which bodes well for his chances of earning induction. Fingers crossed, but it could be one upside to the Bay Area Super Bowl.
