If you missed it yesterday, I wrote a piece about Colin Kaepernick giving up the starting quarterback job to Blaine Gabbert and what that means for his future with the San Francisco 49ers organization. I have to say ... I'm thoroughly pleased with the response and surprised by the good dialogue taking place in the comments of that article. Usually when I write something like that I get a bunch of hatemail and people get very angry.
Instead, there's a lot of good discussion, from people who agree and people who disagree. Whatever the case, I know Kaepernick will never be the same. Who knows .... that may be a good thing at the end of the day. For now, the 49ers are an absolute wreck and I'm cringing at the idea of Gabbert starting. He could wind up doing pretty well in his debut and I'll still be cringing the next time he takes a snap.
Whatever the case ... bring on the Atlanta Falcons. Go Niners.
