We're back for another week of Sunday Night Football. The Dallas Cowboys are hosting the Philadelphia Eagles on NBC, with the game set to kick off at 5:30 p.m. PT. We'll have other 49ers threads, so let's use this primarily for SNF chatter.
This game features the third and fourth place teams in the NFC West, and yet both are right in the thick of the playoff chase. The Giants lead the NFC East with a 5-4 record, which means 3-4 Philly and 2-5 Dallas both have a legitimate shot at the division title. For the NFC East as a whole, this is huge. Tony Romo is still at least a couple weeks from returning to action. The Cowboys are winless since he got hurt, so any wins they can get while he is out would be critical. If they can't get a win during his absence, their chances might just be shot.
The Eagles are a field goal favorite. The road team in this rivalry is 7-1 ATS over the last eight matchups. The Cowboys are coming off a loss but cover at home against the Seattle Seahawks, which marked their first cover without Romo. The Eagles had a bye last week, and lost and failed to cover the week before at the Carolina Panthers.
