Monday Night Football still remains, between the 2-6 San Diego Chargers and the 2-5 Chicago Bears. If the Chargers win, the remain at No. 9. If the Bears win, the 49ers move up to No. 8.

The 49ers will be on their bye this week, which means all the 3-5 teams will either move into a tie with them, or slip further behind. Given how the strength of schedule looks, losses by the Bucs, Chiefs, Washington and/or Texans would move them ahead of the 49ers. It is a busy week for bad teams. The Cowboys-Bucs and Jaguars-Ravens will each move one team into a tie with the 49ers.
