Patriots-Texans, Sunday Night Football: Game time, TV schedule, odds

The Houston Texans host the New England Patriots on Week 14 Sunday Night Football. Maybe a playoff preview? We break down the TV schedule, game time, streaming info and more.

We're back for another week of Sunday Night Football, and this one is another potential AFC playoff preview. The Houston Texans are hosting the New England Patriots on NBC, with the game set to kick off at 5:30 p.m. PT. We have plenty of other threads if you want to talk about the 49ers disastrous performance, so keep this one as just SNF.

The Patriots are 10-2, and will clinch a playoff berth with a win. They face a Texans team that is 6-6, and can take over first place in the AFC South with a win. The Indianapolis Colts lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars to drop to 6-7, so at worst, the Texans would remain tied with the Colts if they lost. Inspiring stuff in the AFC South.

The Patriots opened as a field goal favorite, but they have climbed to as high as six points at some sportsbooks. Primetime favorites have struggled a bit this season, and the Texans have looked pretty solid at home this season. This could very well be an upset brewing, but we'll see if Brian Hoyer can get the passing game going against a struggling Patriots secondary.
