NFL power rankings, Week 15: 49ers sinking fast

Week 14 of the 2015 NFL season is finished, and the 49ers dropped to 4-9. How far should they drop after Sunday's embarrassing loss? We present Week 15 NFL power rankings.

Week 14 of the 2015 NFL season is officially a wrap following the New York Giants entertaining win over the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football. A game that looked like a rather blah matchup turned into a bit of a shootout. Eli Manning had a great game, completing 27 of 31 passes for 337 yards and four touchdowns. Odell Beckham was his primary beneficiary, catching seven passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns. The Giants improve to 6-7, and remain tied atop the NFC East with Philadelphia and Washington. The Dolphins drop to 5-8 and are officially eliminated from playoff contention.

The San Francisco 49ers embarrassed themselves in Week 14, losing 24-10 to the Cleveland Browns. The 49ers made Johnny Manziel and Isaiah Crowell look pretty fantastic, and the Browns pass rush ate up the 49ers protection and game-planning. All in all, it was a pretty miserable Sunday. The question for the purposes of power rankings is where to dump the 49ers. I would be fine sticking them at the bottom, but I'd say Tennessee and Baltimore rightfully deserve to be at the bottom.

One team trending the wrong direction is the Atlanta Falcons. They have lost six straight, and seven of eight following a 5-0 start. They travel to Jacksonville, and then host Carolina and New Orleans to close out the season. They very well could lose out, which is something indeed given their start to the season.

On the other hand, the Pittsburgh Steelers very well could win out to finish the season 11-5. They host Denver, and then travel to Baltimore and Cleveland. The Steelers defense has problems, but that offense is clicking, and could cause problems for the rest of the AFC. A Steelers-Panthers, or Steelers-Cardinals Super Bowl would not surprise me. I could see Seattle or Green Bay making their way in as well, but it is pretty wide open in both conferences.

Here are my Week 15 power rankings.
