49ers-Bengals injury report: Vance McDonald, Aaron Lynch at practice, Adam Jones returns in Cincinnati

Time to break down the weekly injury reports. The 49ers and Bengals have big names on their reports, but both welcomed back some key cogs.

The San Francisco 49ers and Cincinnati Bengals each released their first practice participation report for this week, and there are plenty of names to consider on both sides.

The 49ers have several players working their way through the concussion protocol. Third string running back Kendall Gaskins suffered his concussion this past week, and his status is up in the air for Week 15. Vance McDonald and Aaron Lynch are both in the protocol as well, having suffered their concussions in Week 13. They are both listed as limited, and were wearing blue non-contact jerseys. That is a big step forward, particularly for McDonald who was a DNP all last week. Both seem on track to play, but we'll see how they progress through this week's remaining two practices.

The big news for the Bengals is that cornerback Adam Jones was listed as a limited participant in practice. He did not play last week due to a foot injury, so getting in even a limited session is a good step forward. Safety George Iloka was listed as a DNP with a groin injury. He left this past weekend's Bengals-Steelers game after aggravating the injury. Tyler Eifert is the last name on the list of note. He suffered a concussion on Sunday, and was a DNP. We'll see if he gets back to practice by Thursday or Friday.
