49ers-Bengals inactives: Aaron Lynch inactive due to a concussion

The 49ers welcome back tight end Vance McDonald, but will be without outside linebacker Aaron Lynch once again. We break down what this means.

The San Francisco 49ers and Cincinnati Bengals released their Week 15 inactives, and the 49ers will once again be without Aaron Lynch. The team's top pass rusher will miss his second straight game due to a concussion. He took part in practice this week, but wore the blue non-contact jersey all week. His absence is huge given that he has been among the league leaders in hurrying the quarterback. Corey Lemonier got the start last week, and it would not surprise me if he got it again. I mean it's not like they have a rookie they should look at these final three weeks, right?

Wide receiver Torrey Smith is active after missing Wednesday and Thursday practice. He has been dealing with back spasms, but will make the start. He got fewer snaps than normal last week, and it would not surprise me if we see something similar this week.

Tight end Vance McDonald is active, after missing a game due to a concussion. He has emerged as one of Blaine Gabbert's favorite targets, so he'll be one to watch against the Bengals.

49ers inactives: WR DeAndrew White, CB Chris Davis, ILB Michael Wilhoite, OLB Aaron Lynch, OG Brandon Thomas, OG Jordan Devey, OG Alex Boone

Bengals inactives: QB Andy Dalton, WR Mario Alford, S George Iloka, OT Jake Fisher, TE Tyler Eifert, DT Marcus Hardison, DT Pat Sims
