San Diego County Poinsettia Bowl - Boise State vs. Northern Illinois
Game Time: 1:30 p.m. PT
Channel: ESPN
Live Stream: WatchESPN

Boise State had mentionable wins this year -- mounting a victory over Washington in their first game of the season. The 8-4 Broncos have also had some costly losses, including a fall to Air Force in a key game and finishing tied for second in the Mountain Divison. Brian Harsin is in his second year as head coach, and he's been nothing less than great. Last year, his first season in guiding the team, he finished 12-2, and then went on to win the Fiesta Bowl.

BOISE STATE DRAFT PROSPECTS:

  • #82 Thomas Sperbeck, WR, 6'0", 175 lbs
  • #85 Holden Huff, TE, 6'6", 226 lbs
  • #8 Kamalei Correa, DL, 6'3", 248 lbs
  • #4 Darian Thompson, S, 6'2", 212 lbs - Leads Boise State in Tackles (49)

Northern Illinois had an overall successful season. They finished in 8-5, (6-2 Mid-American Conference). The Huskies fell to Bowling Green in the conference championship, costing them a more profound bowl game. Rod Carey took over as head coach in 2012, and one season later, they were undefeated and spent 12 weeks in the AP top 25. NIU has some underrated draft prospects that can be selected in the later rounds and provide depth to the Niners (Boomer Mays).

NIU DRAFT PROSPECTS:

  • #12 Drew Hare, QB, 6'1", 218 lbs
  • #28 Joel Bouagnon, RB, 6'2", 236 lbs
  • #19 Kenny Galladay, WR, 6'4", 200 lbs
  • #45 Boomer Mays, LB, 6'0", 244 lbs - leads NIU in tackles (88)

GoDaddy Bowl: Georgia Southern vs. Bowling Green
Game Time: 5:00 p.m. PT
Channel: ESPN
Live Stream: WatchESPN

It seems Georgia Southern came into the season with a vote of confidence, as their new head coach Willie Fritz is one of the best in the business, but definitely underrated. However, Fritz is now off to coach at Tulane, and he will not be preparing with team for the GoDaddy bowl. Dell McGee will be the interim head coach. The Eagles finished third in the Sun Belt Conference, with an overall record of 8-4.

GEORGIA SOUTHERN DRAFT PROSPECTS:

  • #19 Caleb Williams, CB, 5'10", 185 lbs

Bowling Green will be without their head coach, as well. Dino Barbers was hired to take over the reins at Syracuse. They soon announced Brian Ward would lead the Falcons in the bowl game. But get this, after the conclusion of the matchup today, Ward will be off to assist Barbers as the defensive coordinator at Syracuse. Wide receiver Gehrig Dieter is one of the best players I have seen fly under the radar this season. Dieter has 89 receptions for 957 yards and nine scores in his junior campaign. Keep your eye on no. 4.

BOWLING GREEN DRAFT PROSPECTS:

  • #11 Matt Johnson, QB, 6'0", 218 lbs
  • #4 Gehrig Dieter, WR, 6'3", 207 lbs - Provides solid hands and excellent size.
