One game left to end the 49ers 2015 season. The team is currently 4-11 after losing on Sunday against the Detroit Lions. There are many questions to be asked this offseason about the direction the team needs to take to get the franchise right again. The coaching staff should be the biggest question mark, but all news seems to point to Jim Tomsula and most of his staff coming back for another season.

When Jim Tomsula was hired, Jed York informed the media that he was hired to be a teacher. If this season is any indication, he hasn't taught the team much. On Sunday, the Niners committed 7 offsides or in the neutral zone penalties in the game, 6 of those came in the 1st half. That showed a lack of discipline, which is a reflection of the coaching. Add that to the list of things the Niners have not done well and that the coaching staff has not fixed.

The game started off well for the Niners. They scored an offensive touchdown in the 1st quarter for the 1st time all season and were able to put up 17 points in the 1st half. But the offense was completely shut down after the half. The 49ers offense had 2 straight three and outs in the 3rd quarter and 2 straight turnover on downs in the 4th quarter in their only possessions in the 2nd half. With the offense unable to produce much this season, Geep Chryst is lining up to be the odd man out of the coaching staff. But this season reflects on the coaching staff as a whole.
