49ers activate Daniel Kilgore from PUP list, waive LB Shayne Skov

Looks like we might get a chance to see Daniel Kilgore on Sunday against the Chicago Bears. The 49ers activated him off the PUP list. Will he be active on game day?

The San Francisco 49ers made a big roster move on Saturday. The team activated center Daniel Kilgore off the PUP list. To make room for Kilgore, the 49ers waived linebacker Shayne Skov.

The 49ers now have to figure out what his status will be for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears. He has been getting practice reps, but he has not played a football game since injuring his ankle on October 19, 2014 against the Denver Broncos. Kilgore had a pair of surgeries, one coming in June, and opened training camp on the PUP list. The team activated his practice window nearly three weeks ago, and he has been getting on the practice field.

My guess is he does not start this week, but given the rotations we have seen, I do wonder if we see a rotation with Marcus Martin. Maybe alternate series? Normally I'd say that's a problem for the guy snapping the ball to the quarterback, but the 49ers have had no problem rotating players on the offensive line. If Kilgore is among the 46 active players, a rotation would not surprise me at all.
