Arizona Cardinals head Bruce Arians just gives zero [site decorum]s. After winning NFL coach of the year, Arians conducted a round of interviews. He spoke with the Cardinals website, and had no problem dropping this gem of smack talk.
Asked what he planned to be doing a year from now - when the Super Bowl will be played in the 49ers' home of Levi's Stadium - Arians quickly said, "Playing."
"We're dressing in their locker room," a smiling Arians said, turning around his season-long mantra of 2014. "We can write it down today."
I get that this is a slap in the face of the San Francisco 49ers, but I couldn't help but laugh at it. The Cardinals are a good team, and will be in the mix next season if Carson Palmer can stay healthy. But to have no qualms putting up bulletin board like this is really quite impressive.
Arians has always struck me as one of the more interesting coaches in the league, so I suppose I should not be surprised that he would make a comment like this. And I really don't see him backing down from it anytime soon. Those 49ers-Cardinals games this fall will be at least a little bit interesting.
