Golden Nuggets: 49ers cap situation isn't the best

New, comments

Friday, February 13th, 2015 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning folks. We're well into the offseason now, to the point where we're seeing a lot of repeated links in the Golden Nuggets and there's not a whole lot I can do about it. Again, I urge all of you to go out there and let the various San Francisco 49ers beat writers know that they're all a lazy bunch and you want more articles. Make them feel really bad about not giving 'em to you.

But we do have a few good links today, though they don't all come with good news or anything of the sort. There's one post about the state of San Francisco's salary cap, a topic we've covered plenty here. The gist is simple: it's not looking very good, though obviously the 49ers have plenty of options to reduce that number. But it's not going to result in spending big on any of the big-name free agents coming out this year.

Anyway, I'm exhausted, so let's get to your links so I can get to sleep (aka back to my book).
