Talk about whatever you want in thiDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!

So I've been covering Niners Nation for this past week with Fooch away on vacation (he's rarely emailed me while gone, and he's always misspelling things so he's either got sand in his phone's keyboard or he's massively wasted literally 100 percent of the time ... I'll let you lot be the judge of that) and I've been really pleased with the way things have gone thus far.

We've had a few threads of absolute chaos in the wake of the Jim Harbaugh interview, few moderation issues (and a very long conversation about moderation policies), people telling me I'm doing a good job and a suspiciously low amount of people telling me to quit my job because I'm terrible at it. First: thanks to everyone who has given me the kind words and all of that, but I need to address some of the people who have pointed out that there's quite a bit of negativity around here, given the offseason we've had.

I obviously thrive on that kind of thing because it's my natural instinct, and I just wanted to address any of you who think things are too negative.

WE'RE DOOMED. WE'RE ALL DOOMED I TELL YOU AND THIS IS NOT GOING TO CHANGE ABANDON SHIP I REPEAT ABANDON SHIP THIS IS NEVER GOING TO GET BETTER THE 49ERS ARE A MESS AND THEY'RE DRAGGING US DOWN WITH IT AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

So anyway, that was just a short statement I had prepared and all. Fooch told me that it was a good idea to get kind of an open thread going if things slowed down on Sunday, so that's what this post is going to be. I've also decided that I'm going to introduce the Niners Nation DOOOOOOM Index, which will be nothing more than a series of fan confidence polls attached on to the open threads that I put together over the course of the offseason.

I've settled on six "o's" for the word "doom" because I feel like that's the minimum amount of "o's" you need for it to look intentional and not like I slipped and hit my face on the keyboard. Maybe we'll add one every time we do this. Anyway, talk about whatever in here, tell me I'm doing a terrible job and post donkey pictures and name then Jed York or whatever you crazy kids are doing these days.
