Tom Brady posted a picture of himself as a 4-year-old at 'The Catch' game

Tom Brady is topical, right? Also: screw the Cowboys.

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

As it turns out, when you're trying to cover for a madman who posts a million articles a day, you occasionally miss a gem. On Thursday, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady posted a picture of himself from his youth, attending a fairly important San Francisco 49ers game at Candlestick Park.

Now, I'm told this picture is actually Brady as a crying child and not Brady as a crying adult -- I personally can't tell the difference. Either way, Brady grew up a fan of the 49ers, and to commemorate Candlestick Park, he posted this photo of himself while attending "The Catch" game.

I thought for a second that it might not actually be "The Catch" game, but the 49ers themselves ran with the picture and have confirmed that no other 49ers/Cowboys game had that score over the time period when Brady was four years old -- you can find the picture and the 49ers' Tweet below:

I'll always respect what Brady has been able to do on the field, but I've always been ... less of a fan. Obviously, that comes from a strong dislike of the Patriots but at the end of the day, if he still counts himself a 49ers fan, then I suppose I can't be too hard on him. I'm not entirely sure why he's crying in the picture, given what just happened and all.

Pretty cool/interesting, I thought.
