The 2015 NFL Combine wraps up Monday with defensive backs, which means a vast majority of the draft prospects have completed their work and headed home. There will be plenty of mock drafts to come, but these next few days will allow people to evaluate where things stand, and adjust accordingly. Mock drafts are not really valuable as predictive tools, but they do give us somewhat of a handle on how the draft media views each team.
SB Nation's Dan Kadar put together his latest 2015 NFL mock draft, and it has a familiar name going to the San Francisco 49ers. Dan mocked Oklahoma/Missouri wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham to the 49ers. He had this to say about DGB:
Whoever decides to take Green-Beckham will have to be comfortable with his off-field issues and determine if he's a good fit for the offense. General manager Trent Baalke's staff is likely digging deep on DGB to see if his issues don't overshadow his talent and potential.
DGB had a solid day of workouts over the weekend, but obviously that is not quite the biggest issue with him. The 49ers met with DGB while they were in town, and wide receivers coach Ronald Curry worked with him and all the other wide receivers during their drills. This certainly doesn't mean the team will draft him, and they very well may decide (or have decided) to remove him from their board. But it will be an interesting couple months as DGB rumors fly fast and furious.
Dan mocked the following wide receivers in the first round:
4. Amari Cooper - Raiders
11. DeVante Parker - Vikings
12. Kevin White - Browns
15. Dorial Green-Beckham - 49ers
28. Jaelen Strong - Ravens
