Well, it's safe to say San Francisco 49ers defensive end Lawrence Okoye has bought into the team's rivalry with the Seahawks. He is apparently in London for an NFL UK fan forum. In front of the 600 or so folks in attendance, he had this to say.
Lawrence Okoye says he wants to banish cut blocking, then went on to call JR Sweezy 'JR Dickhead' @NinersNation

Sweezy's block on Ian Williams resulted in multiple surgeries to his leg/ankle, and cost him what was likely to be a break-out season as the 49ers nose tackle. Sweezy has had his share of ugly blocks, so I am not surprised players would think this about him. Of course, thinking it and coming out and saying it are two entirely different things.
When Gur tweeted this, the first reaction by some was, "He's a practice squad player and should shut up." I suppose that is a reasonable request, but personally I don't really care. Talk some smack all you want, it leaves me plenty entertained!
And I do think banishing the cut block would be a good thing. Plenty of teams benefit from it, including the 49ers of the 80s, but it raises the risk of injury way too much. The league has slowly made versions of it illegal, but there are still opportunities for offensive linemen to go for the knees. The league feigns worry about head shots, but lower leg injuries are still big problems.
