Will the 49ers finally improve their clock management issues?

New, comments

The San Francisco 49ers have filled out their coaching staff. Will this new group finally get some kind of resolution to the team's history of clock management issues?

The San Francisco 49ers announced their full coaching staff on Monday, and Jim Tomsula will have nine offensive coaches, eight defensive coaches, and two special teams coaches. Last year, the 49ers had 12 offensive assistants and six defensive assistants.

Matt Barrows had this tweet shortly after the coaches were formally announced.

There are plenty of things we'll be tracking with the new coaching staff, and clock management will be high on the list. I would not expect the team to say anything less about its importance moving forward. It has been a problem dating back to Mike Nolan's time with the 49ers, and at some point it would help if the problem was fixed. Might this finally be the year? I have no reason to think yes or no, but I suppose a fan can hope!
