Frank Gore officially signed on the dotted line earlier today with the Indianapolis Colts, but he made sure to send out one last note to San Francisco 49ers fans. He posted the picture below with this caption:

I want to take this time to thank the York family. You gave me the opportunity to play the game I have loved since childhood. You are truly world class. Thank you to the entire 49er organization for all the support you have given me through the years. Most importantly I want to thank all my fans truly the best fans in the world. I will miss you but will always carry you close to my heart.

It is tough to see Gore go, but I am excited for his opportunity to continue moving up the record book, and potentially get himself a Lombardi trophy. The Colts signed Andre Johnson earlier today as well, giving Andrew Luck a pair of strong weapons. Gore's work in pass protection will be a big boost for Luck. The playoffs are always a toss-up, but Gore and Johnson could put this Colts team over the top.

When the season gets here, expect a modest amount of Frank Gore/Colts coverage. It won't be a daily thing, but we'll be keeping an eye on Gore's move up the record books.
