Good morning San Francisco 49ers fans, those optimistic, pessimistic and currently reading this on their phones from the fetal position. NFL free agency is in full swing and though the first tier of free agents have signed -- and hey, the 49ers ended up with one of them so that's swell -- there's still plenty of big names out there waiting to sign on with a new team.
I don't necessarily think the 49ers are going to be in on any of those names (and given that the last player I predicted the 49ers would bring in is running back Trent Richardson, you'll find no hope here) but if this offseason has been anything, it's been surprising.
At this point, the biggest news is surrounding cornerbacks Perrish Cox and Chris Culliver. Both players have visits scheduled with other teams and it's unclear if the 49ers even really want to bring them back. I want at least one of them back, though I'm not paritcularly picky who it is at this point. Probably Cox, as he should be cheaper.
Onto your links for the day.
