Golden Nuggets: Chase Thomas tears ACL, Michael Crabtree may have a market after all

Friday, March 20, 2015 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

I haven't written about Chris Borland and his retirement here on Niners Nation, mostly because I've been busy throughout the week and I don't have the Golden Nuggets until this morning. But it's also because I have my own complicated thoughts about concussions and head injuries but I just want to say: good for Borland. I hope he got out of football what he feels like he needed to and I wish him nothing but happiness going forward.

Moving on, it looks like linebacker Chase Thomas sustained a torn ACL this offseason. I don't know what it is with the 49ers and ACL injuries, but they can't catch a break. Thomas was a solid special teams player who I thought had a solid chance of making the roster next season. Obviously, that's not going to happen at this point.

Also, Michael Crabtree still hasn't found a team and I can't say I care so much. He made it clear he doesn't want to return to the 49ers and the feeling is probably mutual. Onto your links.
