The 2015 NFL Draft is a little over five weeks away, and just as important, that means we are about a month or so away from the big reveal of the 2015 regular season schedule. The NFL has managed to turn that into an "event", with all sorts of NFL Network coverage. The day of the event is always a fun way as rumors run rampant.
We do not have any rumors yet, but one thing we do know is the Baltimore Ravens want to make sure they do not have to do much travel to the Bay Area. The Ravens are scheduled to face the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders, and they have submitted a request to play them in back-to-back weeks.
Teams are allowed to submit requests on a variety of issues that might impact their schedule, and the NFL takes them into consideration when setting the schedule. They will not accommodate every request, but they will at least hear out each team. Thus, you get teams looking to avoid excessive travel on certain trips.
The 49ers head into the 2015 season with a lot of returning players, but a lot of notable changes. Given the questions surrounding the team, how do you think the schedule plays out in terms of high profile games? I'd imagine we'll get a 49ers-Seahawks game in prime time, but will we see a notable Week 1 kickoff game? Or will the 49ers TV scheduling be less than ideal this year?
