Golden Nuggets: Jonathan Martin waived

Friday, March 27th, 2015 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Good morning folks -- and I do hope it is a good morning for ya'll. I say that specifically because I had a rather crappy one yesterday (to the good folks who smashed the door down, stole a laptop, big screen TV and other such things -- I hope you enjoy them!) and hope that I might be greeted what no tangible San Francisco 49ers news, because no news has been the best news for this team this offseason.

It looks like there hasn't been a whole lot worth mentioning, which is swell. No surprise retirements, no new arrests but the 49ers did waive offensive tackle Jonathan Martin and I gotta say, I'm a little surprised. I think Martin can play at a higher level than any guy the 49ers currently have in a backup role and any guy the team can sign off the street right now, plus he doesn't have a big contract. I guess he really was Jim Harbaugh's man, yeah?

Anyway, onto your links for the day.
