The San Francisco 49ers are hoping for a strong return from inside linebacker NaVorro Bowman, as he continues to rehab from his January 2014 knee injury. He was unable to join the team on the field last season, but with 14 months since the injury, he is hopefully making the necessary progress.
As the 49ers get ready for the start of their offseason workout program next week, Bowman is hitting the gym hard. He posted a few videos on his Instagram page, and this one is my favorite. He is doing lunges with some serious weights. It is not quite like making cuts on the surgically repaired knee, but I'll take it either way.
Although the 49ers start their offseason workout program next week, the first two weeks are strength and conditioning work, and rehab work for injured players. After that the team gets into classroom and implementation. It is possible Bowman is limited on the field throughout the program, but hopefully we learn a bit more in May and June,
