Fooch's update: Crabtree makes it official -
It's official.. I'm a Raider

Well, I guess I was wrong about May 12. CSN's Fallon Smith is reporting Michael Crabtree is expected to sign with the Oakland Raiders. Crabtree visited the Raiders early last week, but all indications are that he left without a deal. This would seem to indicate negotiations over the last week proved fruitful.
If this comes to pass soon, the big question will be the dollar value. A sufficient contract value would qualify the San Francisco 49ers for another comp pick. Over The Cap places the highest valued seventh round comp at a contract APY of $2.75 million, and the highest valued sixth round comp at $4.5 million. We'll keep an eye out for Crabtree numbers if this goes down.
I look at this as a strong addition for the Raiders. Crabtree's injury issues have certainly been problematic, but he brings upside to a wide receiver corps that has not been particularly good. Derek Carr showed some things last season, so getting him more weapons is essential. I suspect they still draft a wide receiver fairly high in the draft, but in the meantime, adding Crabtree is a boost.
