The NFL announced Monday morning that the 2015 regular season schedule will be released Tuesday afternoon at 5 p.m. PT. NFL Network will air a 3-hour (!!!) program to unveil the schedule. Fortunately, the schedule will be released at the beginning of the show, so you don't actually have to sit through the whole thing like it's Selection Sunday, or something.
The schedule release means we find out who the San Francisco 49ers will open against, when they will be on primetime, and when their bye will be. We'll also find out potential dates for the team's expected stopover in Youngstown, Ohio. The team asked for back-to-back road games to take advantage of the mid-country location, so we'll see if they get that opportunity.
The 49ers preseason schedule was released earlier this month. Here is the full list of regular season opponents:
Home: Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams
Away: New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams
