Golden Nuggets: The Schedule Released

New, comments

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2015 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from the Internet

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL schedule came out today and the Niners have the 3rd hardest schedule in the league. They start the season on MNF at home against the Vikings, who could be losing Adrian Peterson. In Week 2, the team travels to Pittsburgh. Week 3 has Darnell Dockett, visiting the only team he had played for in the last 10 years, in the Arizona desert. In Week 4, the team welcomes back Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. The Niners have won the series in recent years. Week 5, the Niners travel to NY to face Eli and OBJ. The team travels back home for back to back games against the only Harbaugh still in the league, Baltimore Ravens and that noisy team up north on Thursday Night Football.

Week 8 and 9 brings a road game against St. Louis and a home game against Atlanta Falcons. After their bye, the team travels to Seattle. The Harbaugh-Carroll storyline will no longer be a story. The team comes back for a game at home against Arizona before flying out to play Chicago and Cleveland. The team finishes the season against the Bengals at home, Detroit away, and the St. Louis at home.

The Niners have a hard looking schedule. They have a lot of work to do to make the playoffs. They still have a good squad with talent at every position. The team will have to come together after all the news from the offseason and show the will to compete. If they do that, they could be trouble. Seattle is the leader of the division, but the NFC West will still be a gauntlet and the Seahawks could falter. All the teams start 0-0. Let's get the season started!
