NFL pre-draft visits officially come to a close on Wednesday

The San Francisco 49ers have been bringing in prospects for pre-draft meetings in April. The deadline for those meetings is Wednesday. Here is a rundown of all the meetings we know about.

Former NFL personnel guru and current NFL.com analyst Gil Brandt tweeted this morning that is the final day prospects can make official visits to teams. Teams are allowed to host 30 such visits, along with bringing in players for their annual local Pro Day. Brandt did specify that teams can continue to visit players at their schools until April 29.

We don't know if the San Francisco 49ers hosted the maximum of 30 pre-draft visits, but I would think odds are pretty good they did. We had reports on 24 such visits (although the Benardrick McKinney visit might not have happened), and I have listed them below. The 49ers might draft one or two players from this list, but even if they don't, the list does provide some interesting insight.

The most notable of course is the number of wide receivers they brought to town. They met with big names like DeVante Parker and Dorial Green-Beckham, and they met with lesser known guys like Ricky Collins and Deontay Greenberry. I don't know when the 49ers are going to select a wide receiver, but I would be rather stunned if they did not draft a wide receiver between April 30 and May 2.
