Good morning folks. We're now less than a week away from the 2015 NFL Draft getting underway. That also means we're less than a week away from all of collectively saying "Who?" shortly after Trent Baalke phones in the San Francisco 49ers' selection at No. 15 overall. The current regime has a history of going in weird directions with their first-round picks, with varying degrees of success.
Let's just hope this selection is more Aldon Smith (from a talent perspective) than A.J. Jenkins, yeah? Honestly, this team is so bad at drafting receivers in the first round if they say a name I don't immediately recognize I'll be positive that guy is bad. Then again, I'm famously pessimistic. I also have done very little research on this Arik Armstead fellow, because I'm convinced the 49ers aren't going to take a defensive lineman in the first round. In my mind, they'll go with a receiver or a cornerback.
At the top of my draft wishlist? A running back in the second round. But that's probably just me. Onto your links for the day.
