Golden Nuggets: Is obnoxious sports fan Rob Lowe right about Levi's?

Good morning everyone. I love it when things work out in strange ways. In my last Nuggets on Thursday morning I believe my final line was something along the lines of "Whether playing at home is actually an advantage is a discussion for another day." What do you know? Today is another day. And thanks to Rob Lowe (!?) who tweeted this out regarding the proposed LA stadium, it is a topic of discussion! Now, I know my dad would prefer his hometown Rams would go back to LA, but I could not care less. What makes this relevant to the 49ers was the white wine jab directed at 49er fans and Levi's stadium.

As my many Raider fan family members have pointed out numerous times over my life, 49ers fans a wine and cheese fans. Now, every time I have been to a 49er game, I have never noticed wine or cheese anywhere, but hyperbole aside, that doesn't necessarily make Rob Lowe or Raider fans wrong. Levi's stadium was a terrible home field advantage last season. The way it was built left about half the stadium to bake in the hot Santa Clara sunshine and probably not in much of a mood to make life difficult for the opposing team. Now, it is possible that with the endless Jim Harbaugh speculation coupled with an incredibly frustrating team, the fans just didn't have much incentive to cheer. We'll see whether Levi's can make a come back this season. But for now, I think we just need to take Rob Lowe's insults and just be happy Direct TV pulled his commercials. To the links!
