Charles Haley to announce San Francisco 49ers second round pick

The NFL announced earlier this week that 32 former NFL legends will announce the second round picks of the 2015 NFL Draft. The league does this every year, and it affords some all-time greats a chance to get some air time.

This year, Charles Haley is going to announce the San Francisco 49ers second round pick. Haley will be inducted into the Hall of Fame later this summer. The induction is long overdue, as Haley was one of the greatest pass rushing threats of all time, and the only person to win five Super Bowl rings as an NFL player.

The Cincinnati Bengals will have their pick announced by former running back Ickey Woods. That led to several jokes about Ronnie Lott, who gave Woods a hit he will probably never forget. Here are two of my favorites.

Ickey Woods is scheduled to make the pick for the Bengals, as long as Ronnie Lott doesn’t flatten him before he gets to the podium.
