With the 84th pick of the NN community mock draft, damnesia32 and the Philadelphia Eagles select...Anthony Harris, S, Virginia
Alternates: OG John Miller, OLB/DE Markus Golden, WR Tyler Lockett
Explanation to come.
With the 85th pick of the NN community mock draft, JMichael39 and the Cincinnati Bengals select...Ty Sambrailo, OT, Colorado State
Alternates: Daryl Williams, Tyler Lockett, Alex Carter
Happy to see at least one remaining legitimate OT in the draft. All of Sambrailo's known weaknesses are related to his strength and weight. Both of which are easily rectified in an NFL weight room. He is also weak in run blocking, but that, too, can be solved. As a LOT, he first duty is to project a QB's blind side. And he does this well.
Functional athleticism to play on the left side. Releases into space and can hit moving targets in the screen game. Technically sound pass sets. Keeps weight on inside foot and hands in ready position. Very good at sliding feet and mirroring pass rushers. Keeps his hands inside. Jabs pass-pro punch and then hides hands from defender when not engaged. Frame still has room for more weight. Good recognition of twists. Finishes his blocks. Plays to whistle and flashes nasty. Able to make back-side cuts.
With the 86th pick of the NN community mock draft, Szady and the Arizona Cardinals select...Alex Carter, CB, Stanford
With the 87th pick of the NN community mock draft, albert.55 and the Pittsburgh Steelers select...Kwon Alexander, OLB, LSU
As you can tell from the other players that I selected in this draft for the Steelers, I'm completely rebuilding their defense. Kwon is a highly aggressive hitter and tackler. He has a one track mind of getting to the ball handler whether that be the QB or whoever. The largest knock against him is his over aggressiveness which needs to be tempered because it'll turn a play that gives up 5 yards to maybe 25 yards.
