The Oakland Raiders are in a pretty prime location of the 2015 NFL Draft, sitting at No. 4 overall. If Marcus Mariota slips past the third pick, it opens the doors for a ton of trades, but even if Mariota goes second or third, the Raiders still have solid leverage at No. 4. Amari Cooper and Kevin White are both viewed fairly highly, but there are also guys like Dante Fowler, Leonard Williams and a handful of intriguing other talents that someone might want to move up for later this week.
CBS Sports NFL Draft analyst Rob Rang was on 95.7 The Game recently, and he said there is buzz the Raiders are trying to move out of the No. 4 pick. Oakland has numerous needs to fill, and moving down to add more picks would make a lot of sense. They could get a serious impact player at No. 4, but a small move down could net them a significant draft pick haul.
I don't know that San Francisco 49ers general manager Trent Baalke would be prepared to move that high, but given the reported interest in Amari Cooper, among others, I suppose anything is possible. Baalke has made moves up in the past, but his biggest move was from the end of the first to the middle of the first back in 2013.
Baalke loves his draft picks, so in my mind, it seems unlikely he would make a move all the way up to No. 4. But if he has found the guy he thinks can be a game-changer, maybe he makes the move. If No. 4 is too much, a smaller move is not out of the realm of the possible.
And so, I've attached a poll. This is asking about any trade up, not specifically to the Raiders at No. 4. The poll is meant to offer what you believe should happen, and then what you predict will actually happen. Vote away!
