Fooch's update: Site decorum is off today through Saturday
The 2015 NFL Draft is finally here. After months of mock drafts, Pro Days, the Combine and official visits, we finally get some preliminary answers to what the San Francisco 49ers roster will look like in 2015. There is plenty more to learn about the picks, but at least we get actual news, and not just all speculation and guess-work. It's time to burn your mock drafts!
This will count as our first open thread of the draft, with plenty more threads to follow. For now, SB Nation is running a live show (video player embedded above) at 4 p.m. PT to lead into the draft. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers then go on the clock at 5:04 p.m. PT. It will be interesting to see how quickly they submit their Jameis Winston pick, or if they stun everybody and go with Marcus Mariota.
The 49ers hold nine picks, including No. 15 in the first round. A trade would not be surprising, but there has been speculation they might make a move up in the round to grab one of the big name wide receivers. Given what we have seen in the past, Trent Baalke could do almost anything, and it would not be overly shocking.
We'll have a new thread for the 49ers pick, and potentially even earlier than that if insanity breaks out otherwise. For now though, we'll wait and see what happens. Below is a feed from @ninersnation where I'll be posting plenty of info.
