In a move that is not overly surprising, the San Francisco 49ers have decided to trade down from the 15th pick. The team moved down from No. 15 to No. 17. The San Diego Chargers wanted Melvin Gordon and decided to move up to make it happen. Trent Baalke has an extensive history of trading back, so this should surprise nobody. It was the first trade of the 2015 NFL Draft.

In the deal, the 49ers swap first round picks, and then get the Chargers fourth round pick (117), and a 2016 fifth round pick. I have to say, I am not too disappointed in that considering the team only moved down two spots. The 49ers now have ten picks in this year's draft. Trader Trent is on the move.
