49ers 2015 preseason schedule announced: Dallas Cowboys join three repeat teams

The NFL announced the 2014 preseason schedule. We take a look at the 49ers slate of games.

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

The slog through the offseason has reached another important benchmark. The NFL announced the 2015 preseason schedule, which means we are a little closer to football, and that much closer to the announcement of the regular season schedule. Expect the regular season schedule sometime between April 14 and April 23.

The San Francisco 49ers schedule features some familiar opponents, and some new opponents. As usual, they face the San Diego Chargers. The teams normally alternate home and away games, but the 49ers will be hosting the game for the second straight year. They also face the Houston Texans for the second straight preseason, and the Denver Broncos for the fourth straight preseason. Their new opponent this time around is the Dallas Cowboys.

Unfortunately none of the games is nationally televised. For I believe $20 though, you can order NFL.com's Preseason Live and watch the games.

Week 1: @ Houston Texans (August 13-17)
Week 2: vs. Dallas Cowboys (August 20-24)
Week 3: @ Denver Broncos (August 27-30)
Week 4: vs. San Diego (September 3-4)

Here is the full list of 49ers regular season opponents:

Home: Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams

Away: New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, St. Louis Rams
