49ers officially unveil black, red and gold alternate uniform for 2015

The San Francisco 49ers formally unveiled their new alternate uniforms Thursday afternoon, and the PR department sent along pictures and video from the event. I've posted a gallery of all 18 images. The video below is effectively those pictures set in motion. They feature Colin Kaepernick, Eric Reid, NaVorro Bowman, Joe Staley and Vernon Davis. It is safe to say these guys are some of the established leaders of the team heading into the 2015 season.

Opinions are very mixed, with people hating the jersey, loving the jersey, and somewhere in the middle. That is to be expected, especially when you stray from tradition this drastically. I am somewhere between in the middle and loving the jersey. I like it, in part because I liked seeing Kap wear the black jersey as his QB practice protection jersey.

I've attached a poll at the bottom to see what people think of the jersey. Rate it on a scale of 1-to-10 covering everything from the team wearing it to you purchasing it. Just a reminder, the team can only wear it a maximum of two times this season. My guess is they will be for the Thursday Night Football game against Seattle, and one other night game.
