49ers rookies select their uniform numbers

The San Francisco 49ers released the full list of rookie uniform numbers. I'll get into more detail about them tomorrow morning, but I'll be traveling back from Boston tonight, so I won't be able to get through the full Pro Football Reference list of past number usage.

You'll notice some similar numbers for offensive and defensive players, with free agent addition Jarryd Hayne and rookie Jermaine Whitehead both wearing No. 38. The NFL allows one offensive and one defensive player to split a number into the preseason. Numbers will be re-arranged once cuts happen.
