49ers undrafted free agent signings 2015 tracker

The San Francisco 49ers have wrapped up the 2015 NFL Draft, and will now begin signing undrafted free agents. Rumors will fly fast and furious, so we are tracking them all here. The 49ers currently have 83 players on their roster (including draft picks), so that leaves room for 7 more, unless players are released.

Fooch's update: Here is the updated list of 49ers signings

The 2015 NFL is wrapping up, and with the San Francisco 49ers having used up all their picks. The time now turns to undrafted free agency, where anything goes as players look for jobs, and teams look to fill out their rosters. Trent Baalke, Jim Tomsula and the coaching staff and scouts are likely already on the phone with undrafted college players. As soon as the draft ends, there will be a swarm for every notable player on the market, and the 49ers will have some spots to fill.

Most of these undrafted signings will not make the 53-man roster, but we all know how the Kory Sheets Was Our Future mentality will work. The 49ers have worked their share of UDFAs into their roster in recent years. On the current roster, we're talking about guys like Tramaine BrockAlex BooneIan WilliamsTony Jerod-Eddie and L.J. McCray. There is always room for someone who can make an impact.

From 2010 to 2013, the 49ers have signed three, three, three, two and two UDFAs to the active roster, respectively. Here's the 49ers' official list of UDFAs from 2014. L.J. McCray made the active roster out of training camp, while Asante Cleveland bounced between the active roster and the practice squad. Shayne Skov spent much of the season on the practice squad as well.

We even had some details on some of the signing bonus money handed out. This year, teams will have a maximum of $86,957 to spend on UDFA signing bonuses.

I'll be posting updates in here, but it is important to note that until the 49ers announce moves, they will remain unofficial. These will mostly be based off Twitter reports, and players have been known to change their mind (LeGarrette Blount is one example). The 49ers will announce their UDFA signings in the coming days.
