The San Francisco 49ers are in the midst of their OTAs, and that means the rookies get a chance to work with the veterans in full practices. OTAs allow for full offense vs. defense, and while there is no live contact, teams can get things sped up pretty well. And that means the footballs have a little more mustard on them.
Rookie running back Mike Davis learned the hard way that Colin Kaepernick has a cannon for an arm. Feel free to insert your joke about lack of touch, but without being at practice, for now I'll just snicker at Davis's tweet. He'll get some time the next few months to get used to the speed of Kap's passes. And hopefully Kap is bringing the velocity down a notch or two when needed.
