The San Francisco 49ers wrapped up their first week of OTAs on Friday, which means players got an early jump on Memorial Day weekend. Some players will stick around the Bay Area, but others are off to do whatever they want this weekend.
Colin Kaepernick posted this video to Instagram. Apparently it is Ricardo Lockette's birthday, and they are celebrating it down in Las Vegas. It looks like they got a really nice suite at a hotel. I gotta admit, life can be pretty nice when you're young and rich. Professional athletes have to deal with a lot of crap, but there are certainly some perks.
As we head into the weekend, let's just hope for a nice quiet weekend, and Ricardo Lockette not getting anybody into any trouble! The good news for you all is that I'm not in Las Vegas at the same time. My last trip to Las Vegas resulted in Patrick Willis retiring, and some early rumors of Justin Smith retiring. My next Las Vegas trip is likely in mid-to-late August, so we'll see if that brings anything.
