Everybody panic! San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman Alex Boone isn't participating in voluntary organized team activities with the team! Of course, this isn't actually a big deal, despite the fact that many are freaking out due to the previous holdout and also the fact that he came into the regular season sluggish and seemingly out of shape last season. Let me just calm you down now: players do this all the time.
Also, it's unlikely Boone is holding out again. He expected to be at the mandatory portions of the offseason programs and I think there's no reason to worry about him this season, as I noted in his 90-in-90 breakdown. Of course, you should worry about him going elsewhere after next season, which is pretty likely at this point.
But hey, that's a problem for future me and future you! For now, let's get to today's links, ya'll, so I can get to sleep in preparation for a Sunday full of sports and hopefully no NFL nonsense (hello tennis, Formula 1 and Indy Car).
